Looking Into the Future

welcome to Savoir Faire Language Institute

Our Program

Our mission is to be a holistic child-focused care center that helps children to develop socially, physically, emotionally and cognitively under the care and guidance of highly trained professionals and within a language immersion environment.

Why Learn a Foreign Language So Early?

New research shows that babies’ brains are primed to learn language long before they utter or understand their first words. Research also shows that children are most receptive to speaking a new language when they start at an early stage. It will enrich your child’s mental development.

We Implement Sensory Play in Daily Activities. Here’s Why.

From birth through to early childhood, children use their senses to explore and try to make sense of the world around them.

Children and even adults learn best and retain the most information when they engage their senses. Many of our favorite memories are associated with one or more of our senses: for instance, the smell of a summer campfire or a song you memorized the lyrics to with a childhood friend. Now, when your nostrils and eardrums are stimulated with those familiar smells and sounds, your brain triggers a flashback memory to those special times.

Providing opportunities for children to actively use their senses as they explore their world through sensory play is crucial to brain development – it helps to build neural connections in the brain’s pathways. This leads to a child’s ability to complete more complex learning tasks and supports cognitive growth, language development, gross motor skills, social interaction and problem solving skills.

Our Immersion Approach

Every moment in the classroom is also considered for its language-learning opportunities. We know that the best way to learn a language is to be immersed in it through games, songs, stories, plays and more.

  • Songs include physical actions
  • Use of many visuals and real objects
  • Activities are interactive
  • Classroom routines are used as foreign language opportunities
  • Language is practiced in game formats
  • Echoes, chanting, rhythm, and movement are used to help kids remember
  • Concept-building and foreign language skills are taught together to
    encourage thinking in the language.
  • Lots of opportunities to repeat foreign language in a group and
    one on one.
